About

The artist

Dawn Clark lives and works between Seattle and the remote Washington coast. Her work explores natural forces in the wilderness, mountains, forests, and on the atmospheric edge of the Olympic Peninsula.

Drawing on deep immersion in surfing the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, she creates large-scale paintings on reclaimed industrial raw canvas, with pigments stained onto the unprimed surface. Her work is composed with Sitka branches, roots, and other found natural elements, tracing the energy and light of this powerful environment.

2026Upcoming — Woodside Braseth Gallery, Seattle Art Fair, July 2026
